Hey, I’m Matt Deig, a lifelong Evansville guy and host of River City Mystery. I’ve always been drawn to the strange side of life, from ghost stories and unsolved mysteries to the kind of tales that make you look over your shoulder a little.

This podcast is my way of digging into all of that. I cover haunted places, creepy legends, and real-life true crime stories from around the tri-state area of southern Indiana, southern Illinois, and western Kentucky. From old folklore and eerie encounters to murders and disappearances that still raise questions, I love uncovering the stories most people overlook or have forgotten.
