*********************************

Zachary Carey was last seen on May 30, 2023, when his best friend, Chris, dropped him off near the ‘Welcome to Lynnville’ sign. Since then, Zachary has vanished without a trace. In this episode, Chris shares his perspective on the case after reaching out following my conversation with Zachary’s mother, Gina, and sister, Cecelia, in Episode 15.

1
00:00:00.800 –> 00:00:05.639
Speaker:
I offered the cops to go take
them to the exact spot.

2
00:00:05.639 –> 00:00:07.639
Speaker:
I pulled over in.

3
00:00:07.639 –> 00:00:08.679
Speaker:
When I turned around.

4
00:00:08.679 –> 00:00:12.199
Speaker:
I pulled over and I called my
wife and I’m watching him out of

5
00:00:12.199 –> 00:00:16.800
Speaker:
my rear view mirror, and he’s
walking towards the tracks where

6
00:00:16.800 –> 00:00:19.480
Speaker:
he went from there after I left
from that spot.

7
00:00:19.480 –> 00:00:20.480
Speaker:
I don’t know.

00:00:51.320 –> 00:00:52.000
Speaker:
by day.

22
00:00:52.000 –> 00:00:55.719
Speaker:
Insomniac researcher of the
unknown by night Matt Deig.

23
00:00:59.909 –> 00:01:01.670
Speaker:
Welcome to episode sixteen.

24
00:01:01.670 –> 00:01:05.469
Speaker:
This is a follow up on the last
episode where I interviewed Gina

25
00:01:05.469 –> 00:01:08.950
Speaker:
and Cecilia, the mother and
sister of Zach Carey, who’s been

26
00:01:08.950 –> 00:01:12.069
Speaker:
missing since May thirtieth of
twenty twenty three.

27
00:01:12.069 –> 00:01:15.989
Speaker:
After the last episode aired, I
was contacted by Kris, who is

28
00:01:15.989 –> 00:01:19.069
Speaker:
Zach’s best friend and was the
last person to see Zach since he

29
00:01:19.069 –> 00:01:21.629
Speaker:
was the one who dropped him off
at the Welcome to Linville sign,

30
00:01:21.629 –> 00:01:22.790
Speaker:
if you recall.

31
00:01:22.790 –> 00:01:25.909
Speaker:
And Kris talks about some of the
texts he received from Zach in

32
00:01:25.909 –> 00:01:29.030
Speaker:
the early morning hours of May
thirtieth, twenty twenty three.

33
00:01:29.030 –> 00:01:30.109
Speaker:
And those texts basically

34
00:01:30.109 –> 00:01:31.390
Speaker:
indicate that he was having a

35
00:01:31.390 –> 00:01:34.049
Speaker:
bit of a paranoid episode and

36
00:01:34.049 –> 00:01:35.750
Speaker:
was not in a great state of

37
00:01:35.750 –> 00:01:37.030
Speaker:
mind.

38
00:01:37.030 –> 00:01:40.349
Speaker:
And Kris starts off our talk by
referencing some of the topics

39
00:01:40.349 –> 00:01:43.750
Speaker:
brought up by Gina and Cecilia
in the last episode.

40
00:01:43.750 –> 00:01:47.150
Speaker:
Here’s my interview with Zach’s
best friend Kris.

41
00:01:49.230 –> 00:01:50.629
Speaker:
Nothing in my.

42
00:01:50.629 –> 00:01:52.909
Speaker:
What I have said has changed.

43
00:01:52.909 –> 00:01:54.870
Speaker:
If you want to see the text

44
00:01:54.870 –> 00:01:56.390
Speaker:
messages that she was talking

45
00:01:56.390 –> 00:01:57.870
Speaker:
about that the cops won’t let

46
00:01:57.870 –> 00:02:00.780
Speaker:
her see, I will show them to

47
00:02:00.780 –> 00:02:00.939
Speaker:
you.

48
00:02:00.939 –> 00:02:04.260
Speaker:
I save all my messages with him
here.

49
00:02:04.260 –> 00:02:05.219
Speaker:
I’ll give you.

50
00:02:05.219 –> 00:02:07.620
Speaker:
I’ll give you a roundabout of
what he said.

51
00:02:07.620 –> 00:02:11.159
Speaker:
This way I don’t leak at all
because I don’t know if they

52
00:02:11.159 –> 00:02:14.099
Speaker:
want that to be told.

53
00:02:14.099 –> 00:02:16.319
Speaker:
And the message I got, let me

54
00:02:16.319 –> 00:02:21.539
Speaker:
get back to the message so I can

55
00:02:21.539 –> 00:02:24.199
Speaker:
be right on the money with what

56
00:02:24.199 –> 00:02:26.139
Speaker:
he said, because I don’t want to

57
00:02:26.139 –> 00:02:27.860
Speaker:
say something that’s not

58
00:02:27.860 –> 00:02:29.460
Speaker:
accurate.

59
00:02:29.460 –> 00:02:33.419
Speaker:
And the only reason I’m not
helping them is because Zach has

60
00:02:33.419 –> 00:02:36.900
Speaker:
sat here and told me that he
does not really like his mom.

61
00:02:38.139 –> 00:02:41.219
Speaker:
He he didn’t even really want
his sister Rachel.

62
00:02:41.219 –> 00:02:42.099
Speaker:
Knowing where I live.

63
00:02:42.099 –> 00:02:46.259
Speaker:
When they came here that night
to supposedly get Zach’s

64
00:02:46.259 –> 00:02:49.139
Speaker:
clothes, they were trying to
break into my house.

65
00:02:49.139 –> 00:02:51.659
Speaker:
I have a police report about
that.

66
00:02:51.659 –> 00:02:51.979
Speaker:
Okay?

67
00:02:51.979 –> 00:02:55.699
Speaker:
They were banned from here and

68
00:02:55.699 –> 00:02:57.159
Speaker:
the dog didn’t bite the dog

69
00:02:57.159 –> 00:02:57.740
Speaker:
catcher.

70
00:02:57.740 –> 00:03:01.699
Speaker:
It bit my neighbor, and he’s
willing to even talk to you

71
00:03:01.699 –> 00:03:05.439
Speaker:
about it because he’s got the
scars to prove it, because

72
00:03:05.439 –> 00:03:07.379
Speaker:
cutter tried to go after me.

73
00:03:07.379 –> 00:03:10.819
Speaker:
My daughter Hailey, and the cop.

74
00:03:10.819 –> 00:03:15.319
Speaker:
The Evansville Police Department
was sitting out front when

75
00:03:15.319 –> 00:03:17.259
Speaker:
cutter bit my neighbor.

76
00:03:17.259 –> 00:03:21.379
Speaker:
That and they had seven days to
go get him the chip.

77
00:03:21.379 –> 00:03:25.259
Speaker:
He. They told the dog catcher
that he was shipped here.

78
00:03:25.259 –> 00:03:29.539
Speaker:
When the dog catcher checked, it
was shipped to the restaurant.

79
00:03:31.379 –> 00:03:36.500
Speaker:
So, uh, let’s see, I got I save
all my text messages.

80
00:03:36.500 –> 00:03:39.039
Speaker:
I would love to show you in

81
00:03:39.039 –> 00:03:42.199
Speaker:
person because if they’re not

82
00:03:42.199 –> 00:03:43.539
Speaker:
the cops, not telling them

83
00:03:43.539 –> 00:03:44.539
Speaker:
anything.

84
00:03:44.539 –> 00:03:46.539
Speaker:
That must mean something.

85
00:03:46.539 –> 00:03:51.159
Speaker:
They’re not they’re not going to
tell, uh, a person of interest,

86
00:03:51.159 –> 00:03:53.539
Speaker:
uh, what a text says.

87
00:03:53.539 –> 00:03:56.419
Speaker:
If they were really about what?

88
00:03:56.419 –> 00:04:00.569
Speaker:
For the parents and them, they
would at least hear.

89
00:04:00.569 –> 00:04:01.449
Speaker:
Here’s the text.

90
00:04:01.449 –> 00:04:02.689
Speaker:
I’ll give you the summary.

91
00:04:02.689 –> 00:04:02.969
Speaker:
Okay.

92
00:04:02.969 –> 00:04:04.289
Speaker:
That works.

93
00:04:04.289 –> 00:04:05.009
Speaker:
Okay.

94
00:04:05.009 –> 00:04:09.610
Speaker:
He texts and this was at May
thirtieth.

95
00:04:09.610 –> 00:04:14.330
Speaker:
At one a m he said, when are you
going to plug the Wi-Fi back in?

96
00:04:16.970 –> 00:04:17.610
Speaker:
Okay.

97
00:04:17.610 –> 00:04:20.250
Speaker:
Uh, and then he said, I love
you, bub.

98
00:04:20.250 –> 00:04:22.209
Speaker:
They just don’t know me.

99
00:04:22.209 –> 00:04:27.009
Speaker:
Tell them to quit letting me
make them look like fools and

100
00:04:27.009 –> 00:04:28.250
Speaker:
get me chambers.

101
00:04:28.250 –> 00:04:30.850
Speaker:
Remember, I don’t live there.

102
00:04:30.850 –> 00:04:37.149
Speaker:
May, may thirtieth at four
thirty seven a m. You should

103
00:04:37.149 –> 00:04:43.290
Speaker:
have told me, but I left after
the tracer car passed an hour or

104
00:04:43.290 –> 00:04:49.209
Speaker:
so before they came there in a
flatbed truck with a tarp.

105
00:04:51.050 –> 00:04:53.089
Speaker:
The driver should remember me.

106
00:04:54.329 –> 00:04:55.730
Speaker:
Whenever Zach talks about

107
00:04:55.730 –> 00:04:57.040
Speaker:
chambers, you have no idea who

108
00:04:57.040 –> 00:04:57.319
Speaker:
he was.

109
00:04:57.319 –> 00:04:58.240
Speaker:
Just kind of rambling.

110
00:04:58.240 –> 00:04:58.519
Speaker:
Yeah.

111
00:04:58.519 –> 00:04:59.800
Speaker:
He. You don’t know who he was
talking about.

112
00:04:59.800 –> 00:05:00.079
Speaker:
Okay.

113
00:05:00.079 –> 00:05:01.959
Speaker:
I don’t know who chambers is.

114
00:05:03.360 –> 00:05:04.519
Speaker:
And we did.

115
00:05:04.519 –> 00:05:08.360
Speaker:
We contacted when I woke up and

116
00:05:08.360 –> 00:05:09.839
Speaker:
I went out there to see if Zach

117
00:05:09.839 –> 00:05:11.560
Speaker:
was in his room after I seen

118
00:05:11.560 –> 00:05:13.000
Speaker:
those texts.

119
00:05:13.000 –> 00:05:16.920
Speaker:
And I realized he wasn’t, I came
and woke my wife up.

120
00:05:16.920 –> 00:05:22.240
Speaker:
Me and my daughter Faith and my
wife went out looking for him.

121
00:05:22.240 –> 00:05:23.199
Speaker:
We couldn’t find him.

122
00:05:23.199 –> 00:05:27.000
Speaker:
So I told my wife, I said, get a
hold of his sister.

123
00:05:27.000 –> 00:05:28.800
Speaker:
We got Ahold of his sister.

124
00:05:30.279 –> 00:05:34.319
Speaker:
Rachel called him and talked to
him on the phone.

125
00:05:34.319 –> 00:05:35.120
Speaker:
This after.

126
00:05:35.120 –> 00:05:39.120
Speaker:
I then told them that Zach is
missing.

127
00:05:39.120 –> 00:05:41.420
Speaker:
I need you guys to come in town

128
00:05:41.420 –> 00:05:44.600
Speaker:
and help me get him because I

129
00:05:44.600 –> 00:05:45.000
Speaker:
can’t.

130
00:05:45.000 –> 00:05:47.720
Speaker:
I cannot physically.

131
00:05:49.560 –> 00:05:50.800
Speaker:
Control him.

132
00:05:52.319 –> 00:05:54.879
Speaker:
He. He’s way too strong for his

133
00:05:54.879 –> 00:05:56.990
Speaker:
own damn good, and I would put

134
00:05:56.990 –> 00:05:59.170
Speaker:
my life in jeopardy if I was to

135
00:05:59.170 –> 00:06:00.230
Speaker:
try.

136
00:06:00.230 –> 00:06:02.629
Speaker:
Especially with the state of
mind he was in.

137
00:06:04.069 –> 00:06:08.110
Speaker:
He has six cops couldn’t hold
him down or twelve cops.

138
00:06:08.110 –> 00:06:10.550
Speaker:
Sorry, twelve cops couldn’t hold
him down.

139
00:06:10.550 –> 00:06:13.269
Speaker:
We sure couldn’t hold him down.

140
00:06:13.269 –> 00:06:15.029
Speaker:
No, no, I and I don’t blame you.

141
00:06:15.029 –> 00:06:16.910
Speaker:
No, not at all.

142
00:06:16.910 –> 00:06:21.870
Speaker:
So, um, at what point does he
show up at your place that you

143
00:06:21.870 –> 00:06:23.110
Speaker:
end up going to Linville?

144
00:06:23.110 –> 00:06:27.829
Speaker:
Uh, Rachel called him, then
talked to him for a few minutes,

145
00:06:27.829 –> 00:06:29.389
Speaker:
and then she called me.

146
00:06:29.389 –> 00:06:32.829
Speaker:
She said, well, I know where
he’s at.

147
00:06:32.829 –> 00:06:36.230
Speaker:
He said he he took a picture and
sent it to me of turkeys.

148
00:06:36.230 –> 00:06:39.730
Speaker:
Well, the only place I know that
turkeys hang out around my house

149
00:06:39.730 –> 00:06:41.189
Speaker:
is out there behind.

150
00:06:41.189 –> 00:06:45.629
Speaker:
Coming down, Pfeifer coming
around the S curves.

151
00:06:45.629 –> 00:06:49.029
Speaker:
Okay, so that’s the only place I
know about turkeys.

152
00:06:49.029 –> 00:06:53.389
Speaker:
So I got in my truck and went
over there where the back

153
00:06:53.389 –> 00:06:55.550
Speaker:
entrance of the jail is.

154
00:06:55.550 –> 00:06:57.189
Speaker:
And I seen him sitting on the
rail.

155
00:06:57.189 –> 00:06:59.310
Speaker:
I said, Zack, come on.

156
00:06:59.310 –> 00:07:00.430
Speaker:
And he looked at me.

157
00:07:00.430 –> 00:07:01.310
Speaker:
He got up.

158
00:07:01.310 –> 00:07:03.029
Speaker:
He got in the truck.

159
00:07:03.029 –> 00:07:04.870
Speaker:
We come back here.

160
00:07:06.550 –> 00:07:08.709
Speaker:
He got out of the truck, went to
the room.

161
00:07:08.709 –> 00:07:10.029
Speaker:
He grabbed his.

162
00:07:10.029 –> 00:07:12.750
Speaker:
He told you to stay in the
truck.

163
00:07:12.750 –> 00:07:13.550
Speaker:
That we’re not done.

164
00:07:13.550 –> 00:07:15.829
Speaker:
We’re going somewhere and I
didn’t.

165
00:07:15.829 –> 00:07:19.110
Speaker:
I followed him, he went back
there, got all of his medicines,

166
00:07:19.110 –> 00:07:24.990
Speaker:
and I watched him put it in his
pot, in his hoodie pocket, and I

167
00:07:24.990 –> 00:07:26.910
Speaker:
asked him, where is he going?

168
00:07:26.910 –> 00:07:29.069
Speaker:
And he says, don’t worry, I’ll
be back.

169
00:07:29.069 –> 00:07:30.509
Speaker:
We’ll play our game.

170
00:07:30.509 –> 00:07:31.990
Speaker:
He says, I promise.

171
00:07:31.990 –> 00:07:33.790
Speaker:
And Zack never.

172
00:07:33.790 –> 00:07:36.470
Speaker:
When Zack makes a promise, he
don’t break it.

173
00:07:36.470 –> 00:07:39.389
Speaker:
Yeah, he never broke a promise
to me.

174
00:07:39.389 –> 00:07:41.470
Speaker:
And like I said.

175
00:07:41.470 –> 00:07:42.829
Speaker:
And that’s your wife back there,
right?

176
00:07:42.829 –> 00:07:43.829
Speaker:
Yes.

177
00:07:43.829 –> 00:07:44.110
Speaker:
Okay.

178
00:07:44.110 –> 00:07:45.990
Speaker:
Just because when I when we were

179
00:07:45.990 –> 00:07:48.569
Speaker:
going up Lynch, before we got to

180
00:07:48.569 –> 00:07:50.709
Speaker:
the Motor Mart, we were at the

181
00:07:50.709 –> 00:07:51.230
Speaker:
stoplight.

182
00:07:51.230 –> 00:07:57.000
Speaker:
She was on speakerphone with me
The whole time until we got, uh,

183
00:07:57.000 –> 00:07:57.939
Speaker:
through the light.

184
00:07:57.939 –> 00:08:00.379
Speaker:
And Zach said, well, we’ll have
to call you back and hung my

185
00:08:00.379 –> 00:08:03.860
Speaker:
phone up, and I kept on blowing
up his phone, trying to get

186
00:08:03.860 –> 00:08:06.540
Speaker:
Ahold of him because I didn’t
know what he did.

187
00:08:06.540 –> 00:08:09.180
Speaker:
I thought he just hung it up and
put it up.

188
00:08:09.180 –> 00:08:17.100
Speaker:
But apparently he turned my
airplane mode off, uh, on and

189
00:08:17.100 –> 00:08:19.060
Speaker:
turned my location off.

190
00:08:19.060 –> 00:08:21.779
Speaker:
Well, I share my location with
my wife.

191
00:08:22.860 –> 00:08:25.279
Speaker:
We we got so she sees that drop

192
00:08:25.279 –> 00:08:26.860
Speaker:
off the radar and kind of freaks

193
00:08:26.860 –> 00:08:27.060
Speaker:
out.

194
00:08:27.060 –> 00:08:27.540
Speaker:
Yeah.

195
00:08:27.540 –> 00:08:33.059
Speaker:
And the only ones I know that
drives tracer cars to try to

196
00:08:33.059 –> 00:08:37.200
Speaker:
catch you doing something wrong
are cops or undercover cops or

197
00:08:37.200 –> 00:08:39.179
Speaker:
or undercover cops.

198
00:08:39.179 –> 00:08:41.299
Speaker:
And that’s already already
stated.

199
00:08:41.299 –> 00:08:43.899
Speaker:
He has paranoia of cops.

200
00:08:43.899 –> 00:08:48.460
Speaker:
So. That’s the first thing I
thought of.

201
00:08:48.460 –> 00:08:49.940
Speaker:
Well, I cannot tell him.

202
00:08:49.940 –> 00:08:55.049
Speaker:
No, I’m not going because Right
now, he’s in that state of mind.

203
00:08:55.049 –> 00:09:00.129
Speaker:
I don’t know what he would do to
me if I was to tell him no. And

204
00:09:00.129 –> 00:09:03.090
Speaker:
I’m not putting my life on the
line for anybody.

205
00:09:03.090 –> 00:09:07.929
Speaker:
I still want to know why his mom
and them did not come in town

206
00:09:07.929 –> 00:09:09.450
Speaker:
the day I called them.

207
00:09:09.450 –> 00:09:11.190
Speaker:
The morning I called them to

208
00:09:11.190 –> 00:09:13.029
Speaker:
tell them to help me round Zach

209
00:09:13.029 –> 00:09:13.809
Speaker:
up.

210
00:09:13.809 –> 00:09:14.570
Speaker:
They refused.

211
00:09:14.570 –> 00:09:16.850
Speaker:
They said their job is more
important than Zach.

212
00:09:16.850 –> 00:09:23.049
Speaker:
Then after Zach went, went off
and disappeared.

213
00:09:23.049 –> 00:09:26.009
Speaker:
Now all of a sudden, now they’re
worried about him.

214
00:09:26.009 –> 00:09:29.210
Speaker:
But they weren’t worried about
him when I called and told him.

215
00:09:31.570 –> 00:09:34.409
Speaker:
So right there.

216
00:09:34.409 –> 00:09:38.009
Speaker:
And I called them May thirtieth
when after I realized he was

217
00:09:38.009 –> 00:09:42.029
Speaker:
gone and I couldn’t find him, I
said, you need to get in town to

218
00:09:42.029 –> 00:09:44.730
Speaker:
try to help me get Zach.

219
00:09:44.730 –> 00:09:46.090
Speaker:
I can’t control Zach.

220
00:09:46.090 –> 00:09:47.889
Speaker:
Zach is a big guy.

221
00:09:47.889 –> 00:09:49.690
Speaker:
And what I think is funny on the

222
00:09:49.690 –> 00:09:51.289
Speaker:
first news report that they put

223
00:09:51.289 –> 00:09:53.440
Speaker:
out, They said he was not

224
00:09:53.440 –> 00:09:54.480
Speaker:
violent.

225
00:09:54.480 –> 00:09:57.240
Speaker:
And then the second report, they
said he was violent.

226
00:09:57.240 –> 00:09:59.480
Speaker:
Now, which one is it?

227
00:09:59.480 –> 00:10:01.440
Speaker:
Man’s been friends for a long
time.

228
00:10:01.440 –> 00:10:04.200
Speaker:
I wish no harm upon him.

229
00:10:04.200 –> 00:10:08.240
Speaker:
He’s like a brother to me, the
only friend I really had.

230
00:10:09.720 –> 00:10:12.000
Speaker:
His rule about me is I’m not

231
00:10:12.000 –> 00:10:15.159
Speaker:
allowed to get in any trouble

232
00:10:15.159 –> 00:10:16.240
Speaker:
or.

233
00:10:16.240 –> 00:10:18.919
Speaker:
I get a strong talking to.

234
00:10:18.919 –> 00:10:22.480
Speaker:
And the other person will get
get hurt.

235
00:10:22.480 –> 00:10:26.360
Speaker:
Right now he has paranoia of
cops.

236
00:10:26.360 –> 00:10:27.600
Speaker:
He went to the hospital.

237
00:10:27.600 –> 00:10:28.039
Speaker:
He put.

238
00:10:28.039 –> 00:10:30.080
Speaker:
He brags about this.

239
00:10:30.080 –> 00:10:33.019
Speaker:
He said, how many people do you
know could put twelve cops in

240
00:10:33.019 –> 00:10:35.120
Speaker:
the hospital and not get a
charge for it?

241
00:10:36.639 –> 00:10:42.500
Speaker:
He went to Deaconess Hospital
for paranoia of cops, which I

242
00:10:42.500 –> 00:10:46.080
Speaker:
don’t blame their his mom for
putting a missing person report.

243
00:10:46.080 –> 00:10:50.600
Speaker:
But why didn’t you come in town
the day I called you?

244
00:10:50.600 –> 00:10:51.840
Speaker:
The same day.

245
00:10:54.039 –> 00:10:57.440
Speaker:
That I got all these messages.

246
00:10:57.440 –> 00:10:59.679
Speaker:
Why didn’t you just come in town
and help me get him?

247
00:10:59.679 –> 00:11:02.519
Speaker:
If you know how he is, why
didn’t you come in town and do

248
00:11:02.519 –> 00:11:08.720
Speaker:
this now, if someone called you
about your son running off and

249
00:11:08.720 –> 00:11:12.519
Speaker:
you don’t know his state of
mind, would you not want to come

250
00:11:12.519 –> 00:11:13.639
Speaker:
in town and help?

251
00:11:13.639 –> 00:11:15.919
Speaker:
No matter if you have to work.

252
00:11:15.919 –> 00:11:19.039
Speaker:
Wouldn’t your son be the main
priority?

253
00:11:19.039 –> 00:11:19.759
Speaker:
Yeah.

254
00:11:19.759 –> 00:11:23.679
Speaker:
So see there, what they’re
saying about me is wrong.

255
00:11:23.679 –> 00:11:27.000
Speaker:
And after in my friend Ty’s

256
00:11:27.000 –> 00:11:30.600
Speaker:
wife, uh, he she knows him

257
00:11:30.600 –> 00:11:31.159
Speaker:
really well.

258
00:11:31.159 –> 00:11:32.480
Speaker:
She’s seen him before.

259
00:11:32.480 –> 00:11:34.639
Speaker:
She’s talked to him.

260
00:11:34.639 –> 00:11:37.919
Speaker:
He worked for his, uh, her

261
00:11:37.919 –> 00:11:42.419
Speaker:
husband, Ty, and she was at

262
00:11:42.419 –> 00:11:44.320
Speaker:
Cassie’s over on South Green

263
00:11:44.320 –> 00:11:45.080
Speaker:
River road.

264
00:11:45.080 –> 00:11:49.360
Speaker:
And a grey Chevy or GMC or
Chevy.

265
00:11:49.360 –> 00:11:52.870
Speaker:
Uh. Um, square body.

266
00:11:54.669 –> 00:11:57.309
Speaker:
It was a primer color.

267
00:11:57.309 –> 00:12:00.470
Speaker:
His ex-wife was sending my son

268
00:12:00.470 –> 00:12:02.750
Speaker:
because he he’s in that drug

269
00:12:02.750 –> 00:12:03.629
Speaker:
stuff.

270
00:12:03.629 –> 00:12:07.990
Speaker:
Was going over to his, uh,
Zach’s ex-wife, Karen’s house.

271
00:12:07.990 –> 00:12:13.309
Speaker:
We have a photo of her sending
him gift cards.

272
00:12:13.309 –> 00:12:15.789
Speaker:
Now, Zach is smart.

273
00:12:15.789 –> 00:12:17.509
Speaker:
That’s one thing they’re not
lying about.

274
00:12:17.509 –> 00:12:22.149
Speaker:
He is very intelligent, and Zach
don’t want to be found.

275
00:12:22.149 –> 00:12:25.269
Speaker:
He’s not going to be found until
he’s ready.

276
00:12:25.269 –> 00:12:26.870
Speaker:
That’s when he’ll be found.

277
00:12:26.870 –> 00:12:27.830
Speaker:
So, Karen.

278
00:12:27.830 –> 00:12:32.950
Speaker:
Karen, you you’re your child has
pictures of Zach’s ex-wife

279
00:12:32.950 –> 00:12:35.389
Speaker:
sending Zach gift cards.

280
00:12:35.389 –> 00:12:37.389
Speaker:
My my wife.

281
00:12:37.389 –> 00:12:38.350
Speaker:
Your wife?

282
00:12:38.350 –> 00:12:38.750
Speaker:
Okay.

283
00:12:38.750 –> 00:12:43.789
Speaker:
Yeah, because we took my son,
Patrick, over to her house and

284
00:12:43.789 –> 00:12:47.789
Speaker:
dropped him off, and she was
showing me that she was sending

285
00:12:47.789 –> 00:12:53.419
Speaker:
him a Gift cards because he
would only accept gift cards.

286
00:12:53.419 –> 00:12:54.580
Speaker:
And when was this?

287
00:12:55.659 –> 00:12:58.139
Speaker:
Uh, I would have to talk to my
wife.

288
00:12:58.139 –> 00:12:59.620
Speaker:
She’s got it on her phone.

289
00:12:59.620 –> 00:13:01.899
Speaker:
I ain’t got I ain’t got her
phone right now.

290
00:13:01.899 –> 00:13:02.179
Speaker:
Okay.

291
00:13:02.179 –> 00:13:05.299
Speaker:
But this was like, well, after
he’s been after he was missing.

292
00:13:05.299 –> 00:13:06.019
Speaker:
Yes.

293
00:13:06.019 –> 00:13:10.940
Speaker:
I’ve done look every I have
allowed the police and see they

294
00:13:10.940 –> 00:13:16.259
Speaker:
said I, I, I got forced to give
his stuff to the police.

295
00:13:16.259 –> 00:13:17.379
Speaker:
Mhm.

296
00:13:17.379 –> 00:13:22.980
Speaker:
I surrendered it because I felt
I, I didn’t want no part of it.

297
00:13:24.860 –> 00:13:28.740
Speaker:
You know, my, my main thing is
I’m a dad myself.

298
00:13:28.740 –> 00:13:33.580
Speaker:
If my kids friend called me and
said, hey, your son disappeared.

299
00:13:33.580 –> 00:13:34.940
Speaker:
I don’t know where he’s at.

300
00:13:34.940 –> 00:13:36.860
Speaker:
You need to come in town and
help me.

301
00:13:36.860 –> 00:13:38.100
Speaker:
I’d be on it.

302
00:13:39.259 –> 00:13:41.460
Speaker:
Why didn’t you come in town?

303
00:13:41.460 –> 00:13:43.860
Speaker:
You’re you’re so worried about
him.

304
00:13:43.860 –> 00:13:45.740
Speaker:
He. He griped and complained

305
00:13:45.740 –> 00:13:48.914
Speaker:
about going out there because

306
00:13:48.914 –> 00:13:49.529
Speaker:
he.

307
00:13:49.529 –> 00:13:51.970
Speaker:
He felt like they were taking
advantage of him.

308
00:13:51.970 –> 00:13:56.250
Speaker:
Always needing this, always
needing that cutter bit.

309
00:13:56.250 –> 00:13:57.730
Speaker:
My neighbor on the hand.

310
00:13:57.730 –> 00:13:59.850
Speaker:
He’s got the scar to prove it.

311
00:13:59.850 –> 00:14:06.009
Speaker:
The cops were out here to do,
uh, what they call a standby so

312
00:14:06.009 –> 00:14:07.649
Speaker:
they can pick up the dog.

313
00:14:08.889 –> 00:14:13.570
Speaker:
And as we were talking to the I
was talking to the cop.

314
00:14:13.570 –> 00:14:15.250
Speaker:
My friend Mike was sitting next

315
00:14:15.250 –> 00:14:17.970
Speaker:
to my wife and my daughter on

316
00:14:17.970 –> 00:14:20.090
Speaker:
the porch, and cutter just

317
00:14:20.090 –> 00:14:21.710
Speaker:
turned around and bit him in the

318
00:14:21.710 –> 00:14:22.409
Speaker:
hand.

319
00:14:23.889 –> 00:14:27.690
Speaker:
So they had seven days to go get
him.

320
00:14:27.690 –> 00:14:29.649
Speaker:
But I don’t have.

321
00:14:29.649 –> 00:14:32.370
Speaker:
I keep all records of
everything.

322
00:14:32.370 –> 00:14:35.450
Speaker:
Any text messages, all of it.

323
00:14:35.450 –> 00:14:38.129
Speaker:
I keep records of it.

324
00:14:38.129 –> 00:14:41.809
Speaker:
I’ve allowed the police to go
through my phone records.

325
00:14:41.809 –> 00:14:46.450
Speaker:
I told them everywhere I went
from the time and they said they

326
00:14:46.450 –> 00:14:48.360
Speaker:
don’t know if he took his
medicine that day.

327
00:14:48.360 –> 00:14:49.639
Speaker:
Yes he did.

328
00:14:49.639 –> 00:14:53.440
Speaker:
I made him take his medicine
before he left.

329
00:14:53.440 –> 00:14:55.440
Speaker:
I said, you need to take your
medicine.

330
00:14:55.440 –> 00:14:56.799
Speaker:
He took his medicine and then

331
00:14:56.799 –> 00:14:58.360
Speaker:
threw his pill bottles in his

332
00:14:58.360 –> 00:14:59.879
Speaker:
pockets.

333
00:14:59.879 –> 00:15:02.480
Speaker:
I, I he got back in the truck.

334
00:15:02.480 –> 00:15:04.399
Speaker:
He said, get in the truck.

335
00:15:04.399 –> 00:15:05.360
Speaker:
So I got in the truck.

336
00:15:05.360 –> 00:15:07.799
Speaker:
He said, let’s go.

337
00:15:07.799 –> 00:15:10.240
Speaker:
I’m I’m driving him.

338
00:15:11.240 –> 00:15:13.120
Speaker:
And all he’s doing is pointing.

339
00:15:13.120 –> 00:15:13.799
Speaker:
I’m.

340
00:15:15.000 –> 00:15:17.600
Speaker:
I’m just driving wherever he
tells me.

341
00:15:17.600 –> 00:15:18.200
Speaker:
Right.

342
00:15:18.200 –> 00:15:21.559
Speaker:
So where did you guys where did
you guys end up on this drive?

343
00:15:22.559 –> 00:15:23.080
Speaker:
All right.

344
00:15:23.080 –> 00:15:28.840
Speaker:
I went from he wanted me to go
straight on Saint George.

345
00:15:28.840 –> 00:15:31.799
Speaker:
Instead, I turned right and went

346
00:15:31.799 –> 00:15:33.519
Speaker:
down towards Blanche and turned

347
00:15:33.519 –> 00:15:34.480
Speaker:
up Lynch.

348
00:15:34.480 –> 00:15:36.360
Speaker:
I went to the Motel Mart right

349
00:15:36.360 –> 00:15:38.600
Speaker:
there at the corner of Lynch and

350
00:15:38.600 –> 00:15:39.440
Speaker:
Oak Hill.

351
00:15:40.519 –> 00:15:45.240
Speaker:
He said, get you a drink and get
me four packs of cigarettes.

352
00:15:45.240 –> 00:15:48.080
Speaker:
We are going to be gone for a
while.

353
00:15:48.080 –> 00:15:50.279
Speaker:
I said that I cannot be gone,
man.

354
00:15:50.279 –> 00:15:52.840
Speaker:
I got a wife and kids I gotta
worry about.

355
00:15:55.000 –> 00:15:56.000
Speaker:
And after.

356
00:15:56.000 –> 00:15:59.080
Speaker:
After I said that, all he did
the whole time was point.

357
00:15:59.080 –> 00:16:02.159
Speaker:
He took me the back ways, had me
lost.

358
00:16:02.159 –> 00:16:05.399
Speaker:
Oh, I the only reason I know we
were in Elberfeld because when

359
00:16:05.399 –> 00:16:10.080
Speaker:
we went in we went only maybe a
block in and went in a circle

360
00:16:10.080 –> 00:16:11.360
Speaker:
and came back out.

361
00:16:11.360 –> 00:16:14.200
Speaker:
We got back out on sixty eight.

362
00:16:14.200 –> 00:16:16.919
Speaker:
We got almost maybe a block to
the.

363
00:16:16.919 –> 00:16:18.759
Speaker:
Welcome to Linville sign, he
said.

364
00:16:18.759 –> 00:16:19.399
Speaker:
Pull over.

365
00:16:19.399 –> 00:16:21.360
Speaker:
You’ve gone too far.

366
00:16:21.360 –> 00:16:23.759
Speaker:
I’ll go here from here on my
own.

367
00:16:24.919 –> 00:16:26.000
Speaker:
I let him out.

368
00:16:26.000 –> 00:16:27.840
Speaker:
He threw his ID, his credit

369
00:16:27.840 –> 00:16:29.379
Speaker:
card, his social security card,

370
00:16:29.379 –> 00:16:31.279
Speaker:
his food stamp card, his cash at

371
00:16:31.279 –> 00:16:31.720
Speaker:
me.

372
00:16:31.720 –> 00:16:35.440
Speaker:
He said this should get you
enough gas to get home.

373
00:16:35.440 –> 00:16:36.960
Speaker:
I didn’t want the money.

374
00:16:36.960 –> 00:16:38.919
Speaker:
He told me, put money in my gas.

375
00:16:38.919 –> 00:16:42.480
Speaker:
I put twenty dollars into my
tank so I can make it to the

376
00:16:42.480 –> 00:16:44.759
Speaker:
house and I came back here.

377
00:16:46.190 –> 00:16:51.950
Speaker:
He promised my wife, because as
we were going toward, uh, the

378
00:16:51.950 –> 00:16:58.669
Speaker:
Motor Mart on, uh, Lynch, he
told my wife he my wife asked

379
00:16:58.669 –> 00:16:59.830
Speaker:
him, are you coming back?

380
00:16:59.830 –> 00:17:03.789
Speaker:
He said, yes, I promise, Zach,
don’t make promises he don’t

381
00:17:03.789 –> 00:17:04.789
Speaker:
intend to keep.

382
00:17:04.789 –> 00:17:06.390
Speaker:
Okay.

383
00:17:06.390 –> 00:17:08.430
Speaker:
I don’t like my name being
slandered.

384
00:17:08.430 –> 00:17:11.430
Speaker:
Um, I I’ve talked to an
attorney.

385
00:17:11.430 –> 00:17:15.829
Speaker:
I’m going to I’m going to be
filing a slander lawsuit against

386
00:17:15.829 –> 00:17:21.190
Speaker:
them because there they’re
judging my character and lying

387
00:17:21.190 –> 00:17:23.670
Speaker:
on me, and I don’t like liars.

388
00:17:25.309 –> 00:17:25.750
Speaker:
The.

389
00:17:25.750 –> 00:17:29.670
Speaker:
They’re making me out to be this
horrible person, which I’m not.

390
00:17:29.670 –> 00:17:33.349
Speaker:
I, you know what that was
worried about?

391
00:17:33.349 –> 00:17:35.509
Speaker:
And upset that he lost the job.

392
00:17:35.509 –> 00:17:36.950
Speaker:
He used to pay his rent.

393
00:17:36.950 –> 00:17:39.950
Speaker:
He wasn’t paying his rent
because he wasn’t really he

394
00:17:39.950 –> 00:17:41.750
Speaker:
didn’t have a really good job.

395
00:17:42.869 –> 00:17:44.710
Speaker:
So he was upset about that.

396
00:17:44.710 –> 00:17:46.880
Speaker:
And I told him, I said, dude, I

397
00:17:46.880 –> 00:17:48.420
Speaker:
we are not worried about you

398
00:17:48.420 –> 00:17:49.380
Speaker:
paying.

399
00:17:49.380 –> 00:17:54.180
Speaker:
We did have the money you were
paying extra just to help out.

400
00:17:54.180 –> 00:17:56.339
Speaker:
So therefore I don’t care.

401
00:17:56.339 –> 00:17:59.380
Speaker:
You and his stuff will be here
when he comes.

402
00:17:59.380 –> 00:18:01.500
Speaker:
If he wants it, it’ll be here.

403
00:18:01.500 –> 00:18:03.420
Speaker:
It’s locked up in my shed.

404
00:18:03.420 –> 00:18:05.579
Speaker:
I even boxed it up for him.

405
00:18:06.700 –> 00:18:08.980
Speaker:
I put it in a lot under lock and
key.

406
00:18:08.980 –> 00:18:14.220
Speaker:
No one can have it until he
comes here and picks it up.

407
00:18:14.220 –> 00:18:18.559
Speaker:
Okay, so whenever you guys were
driving to the Linville sign, or

408
00:18:18.559 –> 00:18:20.859
Speaker:
when you got to that point, you
said you went too far, where do

409
00:18:20.859 –> 00:18:22.779
Speaker:
you think he wanted you to turn?

410
00:18:22.779 –> 00:18:25.380
Speaker:
He kept talking about a lake.

411
00:18:25.380 –> 00:18:26.099
Speaker:
Okay.

412
00:18:27.380 –> 00:18:31.500
Speaker:
And my thing is, I thought he
was talking about bluegrass.

413
00:18:31.500 –> 00:18:33.900
Speaker:
I forgot about his family.

414
00:18:33.900 –> 00:18:36.900
Speaker:
Uh, you having a lake?

415
00:18:36.900 –> 00:18:40.460
Speaker:
So I’m driving around trying to
get to bluegrass.

416
00:18:40.460 –> 00:18:42.099
Speaker:
I forgot how to get there.

417
00:18:43.460 –> 00:18:44.140
Speaker:
So.

418
00:18:45.289 –> 00:18:48.289
Speaker:
we. He asked me if he can use my
phone.

419
00:18:48.289 –> 00:18:50.289
Speaker:
I didn’t think about him having

420
00:18:50.289 –> 00:18:53.049
Speaker:
a prepaid one of them government

421
00:18:53.049 –> 00:18:55.970
Speaker:
phones, so I let him use my

422
00:18:55.970 –> 00:18:56.690
Speaker:
phone.

423
00:18:57.690 –> 00:19:02.730
Speaker:
He did something and then he
shoved it up under the seat when

424
00:19:02.730 –> 00:19:03.930
Speaker:
I went to grab for it.

425
00:19:03.930 –> 00:19:05.289
Speaker:
He took it away.

426
00:19:05.289 –> 00:19:09.089
Speaker:
He shut my location off when I
dropped him off and he got out

427
00:19:09.089 –> 00:19:10.049
Speaker:
of my truck.

428
00:19:10.049 –> 00:19:11.130
Speaker:
I called my wife.

429
00:19:11.130 –> 00:19:12.650
Speaker:
I said, what do you think I
should do?

430
00:19:12.650 –> 00:19:16.250
Speaker:
Should I come home or should I
follow him?

431
00:19:16.250 –> 00:19:17.930
Speaker:
So just come home.

432
00:19:17.930 –> 00:19:21.490
Speaker:
So I turned around and I came
back.

433
00:19:23.930 –> 00:19:29.930
Speaker:
And after that, uh, the Rachel
came over.

434
00:19:29.930 –> 00:19:30.410
Speaker:
She goes.

435
00:19:30.410 –> 00:19:34.289
Speaker:
My brother said he felt safe
with you.

436
00:19:34.289 –> 00:19:38.549
Speaker:
I knew that because I’m his best
friend, I. I wouldn’t do nothing

437
00:19:38.549 –> 00:19:41.009
Speaker:
to that boy if I couldn’t.

438
00:19:41.009 –> 00:19:41.650
Speaker:
He’s over.

439
00:19:41.650 –> 00:19:43.890
Speaker:
He he’s stronger than a mule.

440
00:19:45.930 –> 00:19:46.970
Speaker:
Very strong.

441
00:19:46.970 –> 00:19:48.769
Speaker:
And it’s not like I forced him

442
00:19:48.769 –> 00:19:50.250
Speaker:
in the truck like, come on, get

443
00:19:50.250 –> 00:19:51.210
Speaker:
in.

444
00:19:51.210 –> 00:19:53.289
Speaker:
Oh, he got in on his own.

445
00:19:53.289 –> 00:19:55.490
Speaker:
He’s the one that told me to get
in.

446
00:19:56.930 –> 00:20:01.369
Speaker:
And when a big guy like that
with that much strength and I

447
00:20:01.369 –> 00:20:05.450
Speaker:
know he can hurt me, I wouldn’t
stand a chance with him.

448
00:20:06.650 –> 00:20:10.849
Speaker:
So when he told me, I don’t
think I want to think that he

449
00:20:10.849 –> 00:20:11.609
Speaker:
wouldn’t hurt me.

450
00:20:11.609 –> 00:20:13.789
Speaker:
But at the time, I didn’t know

451
00:20:13.789 –> 00:20:16.130
Speaker:
what what was going on in his

452
00:20:16.130 –> 00:20:16.970
Speaker:
mind.

453
00:20:16.970 –> 00:20:18.329
Speaker:
And I’m not going to put my life

454
00:20:18.329 –> 00:20:21.970
Speaker:
in jeopardy to please somebody

455
00:20:21.970 –> 00:20:22.970
Speaker:
else.

456
00:20:22.970 –> 00:20:24.250
Speaker:
It’s not worth it.

457
00:20:25.849 –> 00:20:26.650
Speaker:
So weird man.

458
00:20:26.650 –> 00:20:27.329
Speaker:
Yeah.

459
00:20:28.450 –> 00:20:30.250
Speaker:
Where do you think he is now?

460
00:20:30.250 –> 00:20:32.089
Speaker:
Do you have any ideas?

461
00:20:32.089 –> 00:20:33.009
Speaker:
Like.

462
00:20:33.009 –> 00:20:37.869
Speaker:
Well, I asked my my son Patrick,
who’s great truck would that be

463
00:20:37.869 –> 00:20:39.529
Speaker:
that he would be getting out?

464
00:20:39.529 –> 00:20:41.170
Speaker:
And he goes, what color is it?

465
00:20:41.170 –> 00:20:44.059
Speaker:
I said, it’s a uh, Chevy, uh,

466
00:20:44.059 –> 00:20:46.420
Speaker:
square body with, uh, primer

467
00:20:46.420 –> 00:20:46.920
Speaker:
gray.

468
00:20:46.920 –> 00:20:48.519
Speaker:
He said, let me see a picture of
it.

469
00:20:48.519 –> 00:20:49.400
Speaker:
I showed him a picture.

470
00:20:49.400 –> 00:20:52.279
Speaker:
He said, that’s, uh, Karen’s.

471
00:20:52.279 –> 00:20:54.039
Speaker:
She won.

472
00:20:54.039 –> 00:20:55.720
Speaker:
They either know where he’s at

473
00:20:55.720 –> 00:20:57.160
Speaker:
because they’ve been switching

474
00:20:57.160 –> 00:20:58.200
Speaker:
everything around.

475
00:20:58.200 –> 00:20:59.720
Speaker:
Everything they told you.

476
00:20:59.720 –> 00:21:00.559
Speaker:
Mhm.

477
00:21:00.559 –> 00:21:02.519
Speaker:
Has been out of this world.

478
00:21:02.519 –> 00:21:07.559
Speaker:
Reason why I didn’t contact you
is because it just tear up them

479
00:21:07.559 –> 00:21:10.359
Speaker:
to, uh, say more lies.

480
00:21:10.359 –> 00:21:14.920
Speaker:
I was I was letting them feed
their own self.

481
00:21:14.920 –> 00:21:17.240
Speaker:
They want they want to call me
names.

482
00:21:17.240 –> 00:21:20.799
Speaker:
I’m letting them dig their own
little, uh, hole.

483
00:21:20.799 –> 00:21:26.480
Speaker:
So when I do file this slander
lawsuit, and that’s what I

484
00:21:26.480 –> 00:21:27.640
Speaker:
planned on doing.

485
00:21:29.519 –> 00:21:35.559
Speaker:
Because if you think my scrawny
ass can hurt Zach, you’re out of

486
00:21:35.559 –> 00:21:41.119
Speaker:
your mind that that man is too
strong for me, I would die.

487
00:21:42.150 –> 00:21:46.910
Speaker:
He would kill me in an instant.

488
00:21:46.910 –> 00:21:49.230
Speaker:
I’m only a what?

489
00:21:49.230 –> 00:21:50.349
Speaker:
Ninety nine.

490
00:21:52.190 –> 00:21:55.750
Speaker:
I mean, I watched this dude
pierce his own lip with an ice

491
00:21:55.750 –> 00:21:57.710
Speaker:
pick and a hammer.

492
00:21:57.710 –> 00:21:59.950
Speaker:
I mean, yes, he has a paranoia

493
00:21:59.950 –> 00:22:02.710
Speaker:
of cops, which I stated to my

494
00:22:02.710 –> 00:22:03.109
Speaker:
wife.

495
00:22:03.109 –> 00:22:07.029
Speaker:
I said yes, it’s a good thing
that they reported him missing,

496
00:22:07.029 –> 00:22:10.910
Speaker:
but like I told Jared West, he
has a paranoia of cops.

497
00:22:10.910 –> 00:22:13.509
Speaker:
If you go to grab him, your

498
00:22:13.509 –> 00:22:14.750
Speaker:
little buddy right there is not

499
00:22:14.750 –> 00:22:15.789
Speaker:
going to save you and your

500
00:22:15.789 –> 00:22:17.190
Speaker:
tasers are not going to save

501
00:22:17.190 –> 00:22:18.230
Speaker:
you.

502
00:22:18.230 –> 00:22:20.470
Speaker:
Ask Evansville police about what

503
00:22:20.470 –> 00:22:21.710
Speaker:
happened to him when they try to

504
00:22:21.710 –> 00:22:23.950
Speaker:
confine him in in a hospital

505
00:22:23.950 –> 00:22:26.950
Speaker:
room, they.

506
00:22:26.950 –> 00:22:30.470
Speaker:
He said they shot him up with so
much Thorazine, they lost count

507
00:22:30.470 –> 00:22:32.029
Speaker:
after two thousand milligrams.

508
00:22:32.029 –> 00:22:35.150
Speaker:
Oh my gosh, he said there were

509
00:22:35.150 –> 00:22:37.309
Speaker:
four cops tasing him and he was

510
00:22:37.309 –> 00:22:38.710
Speaker:
still tossing them around the

511
00:22:38.710 –> 00:22:40.269
Speaker:
room.

512
00:22:40.269 –> 00:22:43.420
Speaker:
So this is somebody who’s
definitely going out of his way

513
00:22:43.420 –> 00:22:45.339
Speaker:
to not be caught.

514
00:22:45.339 –> 00:22:48.940
Speaker:
I mean, he’s he and then he’s
paranoid of cops.

515
00:22:48.940 –> 00:22:51.339
Speaker:
So he’s staying off the grid.

516
00:22:51.339 –> 00:22:53.420
Speaker:
And you know, I mean, if you

517
00:22:53.420 –> 00:22:54.759
Speaker:
don’t want to, if you don’t want

518
00:22:54.759 –> 00:22:56.059
Speaker:
to have the encounter with the

519
00:22:56.059 –> 00:22:57.980
Speaker:
cops, you heard part of the

520
00:22:57.980 –> 00:22:58.660
Speaker:
messages.

521
00:22:58.660 –> 00:23:01.660
Speaker:
I didn’t read it all because
they don’t need to know.

522
00:23:01.660 –> 00:23:04.740
Speaker:
Because if the cops wanted them
to know, they would have told

523
00:23:04.740 –> 00:23:08.380
Speaker:
them, I, I gave you the little
bits and pieces.

524
00:23:08.380 –> 00:23:11.619
Speaker:
But in that statement, what did
he tell me?

525
00:23:11.619 –> 00:23:15.019
Speaker:
I do not live there.

526
00:23:15.019 –> 00:23:20.299
Speaker:
And his ID says he lives on
Grossman Road.

527
00:23:20.299 –> 00:23:22.460
Speaker:
So he wanted me to lie.

528
00:23:22.460 –> 00:23:23.619
Speaker:
I didn’t lie.

529
00:23:24.619 –> 00:23:25.819
Speaker:
I’m not a liar.

530
00:23:25.819 –> 00:23:28.819
Speaker:
I don’t I’d rather tell the
truth than lie.

531
00:23:29.980 –> 00:23:32.859
Speaker:
I mean, the only reason I’m not
helping them is because.

532
00:23:32.859 –> 00:23:33.180
Speaker:
What?

533
00:23:33.180 –> 00:23:33.380
Speaker:
How?

534
00:23:33.380 –> 00:23:34.819
Speaker:
They’re slandering my name.

535
00:23:34.819 –> 00:23:36.380
Speaker:
They want my help.

536
00:23:36.380 –> 00:23:37.420
Speaker:
Fine.

537
00:23:37.420 –> 00:23:38.779
Speaker:
Quit slandering my name.

538
00:23:38.779 –> 00:23:42.140
Speaker:
Quit making me out to be this
horrible person because I’m not.

539
00:23:43.460 –> 00:23:46.059
Speaker:
I’m the type of guy to give you
the shirt off my back.

540
00:23:47.500 –> 00:23:50.059
Speaker:
I just don’t deal with drama.

541
00:23:50.059 –> 00:23:51.500
Speaker:
And when they’re.

542
00:23:51.500 –> 00:23:55.180
Speaker:
His sisters came over here
telling my daughter’s

543
00:23:55.180 –> 00:23:58.180
Speaker:
ex-boyfriend that, what are you
going to do if we kick in the

544
00:23:58.180 –> 00:24:01.380
Speaker:
door and just go back there and
take his stuff?

545
00:24:01.380 –> 00:24:05.299
Speaker:
Yeah, I showed up, and four cops
were right behind me.

546
00:24:07.420 –> 00:24:09.819
Speaker:
I got I got a police report from

547
00:24:09.819 –> 00:24:11.220
Speaker:
when the cops were here to do a

548
00:24:11.220 –> 00:24:12.140
Speaker:
standby.

549
00:24:13.420 –> 00:24:15.940
Speaker:
You can look all this up.

550
00:24:15.940 –> 00:24:17.180
Speaker:
It’s out there.

551
00:24:17.180 –> 00:24:19.539
Speaker:
It’s public records.

552
00:24:19.539 –> 00:24:26.220
Speaker:
So them telling, telling you
guys I’m not trying to help out.

553
00:24:26.220 –> 00:24:27.500
Speaker:
Now, if I wasn’t trying to help

554
00:24:27.500 –> 00:24:28.759
Speaker:
out, would I allow the cops to

555
00:24:28.759 –> 00:24:30.079
Speaker:
go through my phone without a

556
00:24:30.079 –> 00:24:30.740
Speaker:
warrant?

557
00:24:32.059 –> 00:24:34.619
Speaker:
Would I give him, give the cops

558
00:24:34.619 –> 00:24:36.460
Speaker:
his ID, his credit card, social

559
00:24:36.460 –> 00:24:39.170
Speaker:
security card, the cash, All of

560
00:24:39.170 –> 00:24:39.609
Speaker:
it.

561
00:24:41.130 –> 00:24:43.210
Speaker:
If I was trying to hide
something.

562
00:24:43.210 –> 00:24:43.890
Speaker:
Yeah.

563
00:24:44.930 –> 00:24:46.650
Speaker:
And that’s why I wanted to hear
from you.

564
00:24:46.650 –> 00:24:49.609
Speaker:
Because, you know, whenever you
talk to somebody, you are going

565
00:24:49.609 –> 00:24:50.329
Speaker:
to get one side.

566
00:24:50.329 –> 00:24:51.369
Speaker:
You’re not going to hear the
others.

567
00:24:51.369 –> 00:24:53.690
Speaker:
I knew there was another side of
this that we weren’t getting,

568
00:24:53.690 –> 00:24:55.849
Speaker:
and it made sense that you
wouldn’t necessarily want to say

569
00:24:55.849 –> 00:24:58.589
Speaker:
something, because obviously the
last person to see somebody is,

570
00:24:58.589 –> 00:24:59.970
Speaker:
is kind of always a suspect.

571
00:24:59.970 –> 00:25:01.829
Speaker:
And I know it was because all,

572
00:25:01.829 –> 00:25:03.910
Speaker:
all of them, all four of them

573
00:25:03.910 –> 00:25:06.250
Speaker:
besides, besides the, uh,

574
00:25:06.250 –> 00:25:09.230
Speaker:
sergeant, which he violated the

575
00:25:09.230 –> 00:25:10.890
Speaker:
Disability Act because he used

576
00:25:10.890 –> 00:25:13.130
Speaker:
my mental status, my disability

577
00:25:13.130 –> 00:25:14.130
Speaker:
against me.

578
00:25:15.130 –> 00:25:17.769
Speaker:
He, he, because I told Jarrett

579
00:25:17.769 –> 00:25:19.930
Speaker:
West, look, you guys need to

580
00:25:19.930 –> 00:25:21.930
Speaker:
quit telling me that I’m not in

581
00:25:21.930 –> 00:25:22.410
Speaker:
trouble.

582
00:25:22.410 –> 00:25:24.329
Speaker:
I’m the last one to be with him.

583
00:25:24.329 –> 00:25:29.049
Speaker:
So I am the prime suspect that
that’s a given.

584
00:25:29.049 –> 00:25:33.430
Speaker:
He goes, no no no no no no.
Well, Jarrett West told me to

585
00:25:33.430 –> 00:25:37.569
Speaker:
contact him whenever I hear
anything about Zach.

586
00:25:37.569 –> 00:25:38.000
Speaker:
Well.

587
00:25:38.000 –> 00:25:40.920
Speaker:
Zach’s mom’s boyfriend, Eric.

588
00:25:41.920 –> 00:25:44.059
Speaker:
Uh, text us on our Facebook

589
00:25:44.059 –> 00:25:45.940
Speaker:
saying Zach is no longer with

590
00:25:45.940 –> 00:25:46.240
Speaker:
us.

591
00:25:46.240 –> 00:25:48.559
Speaker:
I hope you’re happy.

592
00:25:48.559 –> 00:25:49.960
Speaker:
Now, what does that mean?

593
00:25:51.480 –> 00:25:53.960
Speaker:
You tell me what that means.

594
00:25:54.960 –> 00:25:58.720
Speaker:
Because I got an understanding
what that means.

595
00:25:58.720 –> 00:26:00.559
Speaker:
But if you hear that, what do
you what?

596
00:26:00.559 –> 00:26:03.079
Speaker:
Your first obvious thing.

597
00:26:03.079 –> 00:26:04.720
Speaker:
Well, yeah, your imagination
runs kind of wild.

598
00:26:04.720 –> 00:26:06.559
Speaker:
What do you think he’s meaning
what?

599
00:26:06.559 –> 00:26:09.279
Speaker:
What do you interpret that?

600
00:26:09.279 –> 00:26:13.319
Speaker:
Well, if if I was you and I

601
00:26:13.319 –> 00:26:15.160
Speaker:
would and I heard that and seen

602
00:26:15.160 –> 00:26:17.859
Speaker:
that and him saying that with

603
00:26:17.859 –> 00:26:21.200
Speaker:
Zach being missing and Zach’s

604
00:26:21.200 –> 00:26:22.759
Speaker:
smart, he’s not going to be

605
00:26:22.759 –> 00:26:23.440
Speaker:
caught.

606
00:26:24.799 –> 00:26:26.000
Speaker:
He’ll eventually get caught.

607
00:26:26.000 –> 00:26:29.200
Speaker:
But right now he don’t want to
be found.

608
00:26:29.200 –> 00:26:30.119
Speaker:
And he promised.

609
00:26:30.119 –> 00:26:33.880
Speaker:
My wife and I have never known
Zach to break a promise.

610
00:26:33.880 –> 00:26:35.599
Speaker:
He said, I’ll be back.

611
00:26:35.599 –> 00:26:39.069
Speaker:
He. Because um, him and my wife
plays art.

612
00:26:40.910 –> 00:26:43.589
Speaker:
It’s a survival game.

613
00:26:45.549 –> 00:26:48.750
Speaker:
And he promised her that he’ll
be back, so.

614
00:26:48.750 –> 00:26:51.069
Speaker:
And he loved my little daughter,
Tanya.

615
00:26:51.069 –> 00:26:54.069
Speaker:
That’s his, uh, he calls her the
midget mafia.

616
00:26:55.069 –> 00:26:59.490
Speaker:
The child midget mafia, because
she’ll bully him out of snack

617
00:26:59.490 –> 00:27:01.349
Speaker:
cakes or drinks.

618
00:27:03.069 –> 00:27:04.990
Speaker:
So me and Zach has a good.

619
00:27:04.990 –> 00:27:06.809
Speaker:
It’s pretty funny that I know

620
00:27:06.809 –> 00:27:09.230
Speaker:
Zach because me and Zach sit and

621
00:27:09.230 –> 00:27:10.670
Speaker:
talk.

622
00:27:10.670 –> 00:27:12.349
Speaker:
He. He really.

623
00:27:12.349 –> 00:27:15.269
Speaker:
They said that he used to come
out there all the time.

624
00:27:15.269 –> 00:27:18.029
Speaker:
No, the only time he came out
there is because they kept

625
00:27:18.029 –> 00:27:20.109
Speaker:
blowing up his phone, wanting
him to come out there.

626
00:27:20.109 –> 00:27:20.349
Speaker:
Yes.

627
00:27:20.349 –> 00:27:23.309
Speaker:
He went over to CC’s and went

628
00:27:23.309 –> 00:27:25.109
Speaker:
and checked on CC every now and

629
00:27:25.109 –> 00:27:27.630
Speaker:
then, but it’s not like they

630
00:27:27.630 –> 00:27:29.910
Speaker:
were putting it out there, was

631
00:27:29.910 –> 00:27:30.430
Speaker:
he?

632
00:27:31.470 –> 00:27:32.309
Speaker:
Because I think they were.

633
00:27:32.309 –> 00:27:35.309
Speaker:
His mom and sister were kind of
concerned that he was suicidal

634
00:27:35.309 –> 00:27:37.029
Speaker:
and that he was going to.

635
00:27:37.029 –> 00:27:38.829
Speaker:
You know what Jack told my
daughter?

636
00:27:38.829 –> 00:27:40.710
Speaker:
Would, uh she.

637
00:27:40.710 –> 00:27:43.670
Speaker:
Because my thirteen year old has
tried to commit suicide.

638
00:27:43.670 –> 00:27:45.750
Speaker:
You know what he told her?

639
00:27:45.750 –> 00:27:48.869
Speaker:
Suicide is the easy way out.

640
00:27:48.869 –> 00:27:51.710
Speaker:
And you don’t want to do the
easy way out.

641
00:27:51.710 –> 00:27:53.950
Speaker:
You need to keep fighting.

642
00:27:53.950 –> 00:27:55.470
Speaker:
So does that sound like a person

643
00:27:55.470 –> 00:27:56.430
Speaker:
that would want to hurt

644
00:27:56.430 –> 00:27:57.509
Speaker:
theirself?

645
00:27:57.509 –> 00:27:59.269
Speaker:
It does not.

646
00:27:59.269 –> 00:28:00.430
Speaker:
And the fact that he hasn’t been

647
00:28:00.430 –> 00:28:01.930
Speaker:
found tells me that he’s

648
00:28:01.930 –> 00:28:02.430
Speaker:
probably.

649
00:28:02.430 –> 00:28:03.910
Speaker:
And he’s also kind of they

650
00:28:03.910 –> 00:28:04.589
Speaker:
mentioned that he’s a

651
00:28:04.589 –> 00:28:05.190
Speaker:
survivalist.

652
00:28:05.190 –> 00:28:06.750
Speaker:
Like he’s somebody who literally
could go out.

653
00:28:06.750 –> 00:28:06.950
Speaker:
Yeah.

654
00:28:06.950 –> 00:28:07.990
Speaker:
Me and him.

655
00:28:07.990 –> 00:28:11.390
Speaker:
Look, when we were younger, we’d
go down to the creek down from

656
00:28:11.390 –> 00:28:12.509
Speaker:
his mom’s house.

657
00:28:12.509 –> 00:28:14.509
Speaker:
His mom would tell us not to go
out.

658
00:28:14.509 –> 00:28:19.430
Speaker:
We’d go down there and fish for
weeks on end, not even coming

659
00:28:19.430 –> 00:28:20.549
Speaker:
back to the house.

660
00:28:21.950 –> 00:28:24.430
Speaker:
So yeah, he is very smart.

661
00:28:24.430 –> 00:28:26.950
Speaker:
He’s very intelligent.

662
00:28:26.950 –> 00:28:30.789
Speaker:
He’s the kind that sits back and
watches people.

663
00:28:30.789 –> 00:28:34.789
Speaker:
And my friend Ty, his wife,

664
00:28:34.789 –> 00:28:36.500
Speaker:
said, you know, if you see

665
00:28:36.500 –> 00:28:38.559
Speaker:
somebody, you’re there or you

666
00:28:38.559 –> 00:28:39.779
Speaker:
don’t know somebody, you’re not

667
00:28:39.779 –> 00:28:40.779
Speaker:
going to go in the store and

668
00:28:40.779 –> 00:28:41.740
Speaker:
look out the window and wait

669
00:28:41.740 –> 00:28:43.180
Speaker:
until they leave before you come

670
00:28:43.180 –> 00:28:43.660
Speaker:
out.

671
00:28:45.460 –> 00:28:50.700
Speaker:
Well, she texted me, she said, I
think I just seen Zach.

672
00:28:50.700 –> 00:28:51.779
Speaker:
I said, we’re at.

673
00:28:51.779 –> 00:28:56.019
Speaker:
She said, the caseys over on
South Green River road.

674
00:28:56.019 –> 00:28:59.740
Speaker:
See, I would have helped the
detectives after the sergeant

675
00:28:59.740 –> 00:29:04.900
Speaker:
did what he did and violated my
the Disability Act.

676
00:29:04.900 –> 00:29:06.619
Speaker:
I. I don’t want to help them.

677
00:29:06.619 –> 00:29:06.980
Speaker:
They.

678
00:29:06.980 –> 00:29:08.900
Speaker:
They showed their true colors.

679
00:29:08.900 –> 00:29:12.619
Speaker:
One don’t lie to me because my
grandpa was a cop.

680
00:29:12.619 –> 00:29:17.140
Speaker:
My uncle Dean was the FBI in
Atlanta, Georgia.

681
00:29:17.140 –> 00:29:21.779
Speaker:
I I’m pretty intelligent when it
comes to law enforcement.

682
00:29:23.819 –> 00:29:27.500
Speaker:
When he told me that I. They
told me I’m not in trouble.

683
00:29:27.500 –> 00:29:27.859
Speaker:
One.

684
00:29:27.859 –> 00:29:28.619
Speaker:
You’re lying.

685
00:29:28.619 –> 00:29:29.500
Speaker:
Quit lying to me.

686
00:29:29.500 –> 00:29:30.420
Speaker:
Just be honest with me.

687
00:29:30.420 –> 00:29:32.900
Speaker:
I’d rather you be honest with me
than lie to me.

688
00:29:32.900 –> 00:29:36.289
Speaker:
Just like you would rather me be
honest with you and lie to you.

689
00:29:37.650 –> 00:29:40.809
Speaker:
So I don’t mind helping them.

690
00:29:40.809 –> 00:29:43.609
Speaker:
But when you’re slandering my
name and making me out to be a

691
00:29:43.609 –> 00:29:45.769
Speaker:
bad person that I’m not.

692
00:29:47.329 –> 00:29:48.849
Speaker:
There’s a difference.

693
00:29:49.930 –> 00:29:54.769
Speaker:
I offered the cops to go take
them to the exact spot.

694
00:29:54.769 –> 00:29:56.809
Speaker:
I pulled over in.

695
00:29:56.809 –> 00:29:58.250
Speaker:
When I turned around, I pulled

696
00:29:58.250 –> 00:30:00.490
Speaker:
over and I called my wife and

697
00:30:00.490 –> 00:30:01.750
Speaker:
I’m watching him out my rear

698
00:30:01.750 –> 00:30:03.349
Speaker:
view mirror, and he’s walking

699
00:30:03.349 –> 00:30:06.329
Speaker:
towards the tracks where he went

700
00:30:06.329 –> 00:30:07.769
Speaker:
from there after I left from

701
00:30:07.769 –> 00:30:08.690
Speaker:
that spot.

702
00:30:08.690 –> 00:30:12.089
Speaker:
I don’t know, but it’s kind of
funny.

703
00:30:12.089 –> 00:30:17.049
Speaker:
His ex-wife was sending him gift
cards on Cash App.

704
00:30:18.849 –> 00:30:20.049
Speaker:
And you.

705
00:30:20.049 –> 00:30:23.490
Speaker:
Everybody knows gift cards are
not trackable.

706
00:30:23.490 –> 00:30:24.089
Speaker:
Mhm.

707
00:30:24.089 –> 00:30:25.089
Speaker:
You can’t track them.

708
00:30:25.089 –> 00:30:26.730
Speaker:
Mhm.

709
00:30:26.730 –> 00:30:29.049
Speaker:
And you don’t remember how,
like, how long after he was

710
00:30:29.049 –> 00:30:33.009
Speaker:
missing that that was taken like
weeks or days.

711
00:30:33.009 –> 00:30:36.480
Speaker:
Oh, it was right after the
sergeant and a gang detective

712
00:30:36.480 –> 00:30:37.799
Speaker:
came over here.

713
00:30:37.799 –> 00:30:40.279
Speaker:
I’ve had five or six detectives

714
00:30:40.279 –> 00:30:43.880
Speaker:
here within three days of

715
00:30:43.880 –> 00:30:44.359
Speaker:
themselves.

716
00:30:44.359 –> 00:30:46.680
Speaker:
Now, I did what Jared told me to
do.

717
00:30:46.680 –> 00:30:48.920
Speaker:
Contact him if I hear anything.

718
00:30:48.920 –> 00:30:53.400
Speaker:
So I’ve been letting him know.

719
00:30:53.400 –> 00:30:59.359
Speaker:
I texted him and sent him a
screenshot of what Gina’s

720
00:30:59.359 –> 00:31:01.640
Speaker:
boyfriend said to us.

721
00:31:01.640 –> 00:31:08.000
Speaker:
And my thing is, that made me
think if he’s not with us no

722
00:31:08.000 –> 00:31:12.799
Speaker:
more, because the way he put it,
and I want to be exact, so I

723
00:31:12.799 –> 00:31:16.240
Speaker:
want to wait until my wife gets
back so I can be exact on what

724
00:31:16.240 –> 00:31:19.200
Speaker:
he said on the text.

725
00:31:19.200 –> 00:31:23.259
Speaker:
But it led me to believe that

726
00:31:23.259 –> 00:31:25.000
Speaker:
they know more than what they’re

727
00:31:25.000 –> 00:31:26.000
Speaker:
saying.

728
00:31:26.000 –> 00:31:29.359
Speaker:
It’s making me out to be this
horrible person.

729
00:31:29.359 –> 00:31:30.319
Speaker:
And you know what?

730
00:31:30.319 –> 00:31:35.069
Speaker:
I’m going to do it because I
want everybody on your podcast

731
00:31:35.069 –> 00:31:38.349
Speaker:
to know I’m not lying.

732
00:31:38.349 –> 00:31:45.049
Speaker:
I have kept every text messages
from the time I got Zach a phone

733
00:31:45.049 –> 00:31:50.789
Speaker:
to all the way to this cell
phone number, which the last

734
00:31:50.789 –> 00:31:55.789
Speaker:
part I read you was, uh, what?

735
00:31:55.789 –> 00:31:56.710
Speaker:
Remember?

736
00:31:56.710 –> 00:31:57.869
Speaker:
I don’t live there.

737
00:31:57.869 –> 00:32:00.029
Speaker:
Is that the last part I read to
you?

738
00:32:00.029 –> 00:32:00.829
Speaker:
Yeah.

739
00:32:00.829 –> 00:32:02.730
Speaker:
And I read you the about the

740
00:32:02.730 –> 00:32:05.269
Speaker:
tracer car passing and all that,

741
00:32:05.269 –> 00:32:05.670
Speaker:
right?

742
00:32:05.670 –> 00:32:07.230
Speaker:
Yeah, I got that.

743
00:32:07.230 –> 00:32:07.950
Speaker:
Okay.

744
00:32:07.950 –> 00:32:09.230
Speaker:
After that, he said.

745
00:32:09.230 –> 00:32:13.309
Speaker:
But like I said, you should have
told me.

746
00:32:13.309 –> 00:32:14.670
Speaker:
Still love you, bub.

747
00:32:14.670 –> 00:32:16.490
Speaker:
We could have avoided the three

748
00:32:16.490 –> 00:32:18.549
Speaker:
hits it took to break down a

749
00:32:18.549 –> 00:32:20.390
Speaker:
locked door.

750
00:32:20.390 –> 00:32:24.230
Speaker:
And you know me, I don’t run.

751
00:32:24.230 –> 00:32:27.150
Speaker:
I walk to my current position.

752
00:32:27.150 –> 00:32:28.269
Speaker:
They fucked up.

753
00:32:28.269 –> 00:32:32.309
Speaker:
Hope you, uh, like the money

754
00:32:32.309 –> 00:32:34.910
Speaker:
from the settlement could cover

755
00:32:34.910 –> 00:32:35.670
Speaker:
everything.

756
00:32:35.670 –> 00:32:37.789
Speaker:
I’m behind on.

757
00:32:37.789 –> 00:32:39.470
Speaker:
And then some.

758
00:32:39.470 –> 00:32:44.309
Speaker:
Well, he knows if the cops mess
with me and violates my rights,

759
00:32:44.309 –> 00:32:46.029
Speaker:
I’m going to sue them.

760
00:32:46.029 –> 00:32:49.349
Speaker:
Which they’re only bonded for
fifty thousand dollars anyways.

761
00:32:49.349 –> 00:32:52.150
Speaker:
And then I can go after them
personally.

762
00:32:52.150 –> 00:32:54.750
Speaker:
So he knows that.

763
00:32:54.750 –> 00:32:57.789
Speaker:
So what do you think he’s trying
to do?

764
00:32:57.789 –> 00:33:01.430
Speaker:
He’s trying to be able to set me
up where I could sue them, and

765
00:33:01.430 –> 00:33:07.910
Speaker:
then he can, uh, all that money
that he he supposedly owes me,

766
00:33:07.910 –> 00:33:13.509
Speaker:
which I’m not worried about will
get paid back and then some.

767
00:33:13.509 –> 00:33:15.890
Speaker:
They didn’t tell you that a CC

768
00:33:15.890 –> 00:33:18.990
Speaker:
is his life insurance

769
00:33:18.990 –> 00:33:20.869
Speaker:
beneficiary, right?

770
00:33:20.869 –> 00:33:22.349
Speaker:
Uh, no, they didn’t say that.

771
00:33:22.349 –> 00:33:23.950
Speaker:
They didn’t say that.

772
00:33:23.950 –> 00:33:27.630
Speaker:
Now, when he was working for
induction iron.

773
00:33:27.630 –> 00:33:28.750
Speaker:
Mhm.

774
00:33:28.750 –> 00:33:35.420
Speaker:
He did ask me To be on his life
insurance while he worked there.

775
00:33:35.420 –> 00:33:37.140
Speaker:
After that, he don’t.

776
00:33:37.140 –> 00:33:40.619
Speaker:
As far as I know, he don’t have
that insurance no more.

777
00:33:40.619 –> 00:33:43.339
Speaker:
It’s not covering him because
he’s not working there.

778
00:33:43.339 –> 00:33:52.200
Speaker:
So there they said CC is, uh,
over his life insurance and two

779
00:33:52.200 –> 00:33:53.299
Speaker:
and two is not adding up.

780
00:33:53.299 –> 00:33:54.420
Speaker:
It’s pretty bad.

781
00:33:54.420 –> 00:33:56.940
Speaker:
I’m his best friend, and I know

782
00:33:56.940 –> 00:34:01.140
Speaker:
more than about Zach than most

783
00:34:01.140 –> 00:34:01.819
Speaker:
people.

784
00:34:01.819 –> 00:34:02.500
Speaker:
Yeah.

785
00:34:02.500 –> 00:34:04.140
Speaker:
And that’s what they all said
when I talked to them.

786
00:34:04.140 –> 00:34:07.019
Speaker:
They were like, you know, nobody
knows Zach better than you do.

787
00:34:07.019 –> 00:34:08.780
Speaker:
And that’s why I guess they were

788
00:34:08.780 –> 00:34:10.539
Speaker:
wanting more information from

789
00:34:10.539 –> 00:34:11.500
Speaker:
you, I guess, is the

790
00:34:11.500 –> 00:34:12.340
Speaker:
frustration.

791
00:34:12.340 –> 00:34:14.159
Speaker:
If his sisters wouldn’t have did

792
00:34:14.159 –> 00:34:16.260
Speaker:
what they did that night, I

793
00:34:16.260 –> 00:34:18.260
Speaker:
wouldn’t mind to give them his

794
00:34:18.260 –> 00:34:19.179
Speaker:
stuff.

795
00:34:19.179 –> 00:34:22.539
Speaker:
But they did what they did that
night.

796
00:34:22.539 –> 00:34:23.340
Speaker:
They ruined it.

797
00:34:23.340 –> 00:34:26.820
Speaker:
They could have came here
peacefully and asked me, instead

798
00:34:26.820 –> 00:34:31.809
Speaker:
of threatening to break in my
house and take it then.

799
00:34:31.809 –> 00:34:33.409
Speaker:
See, I was willing to even go

800
00:34:33.409 –> 00:34:35.809
Speaker:
out there and help search for

801
00:34:35.809 –> 00:34:36.650
Speaker:
him.

802
00:34:36.650 –> 00:34:40.369
Speaker:
I got told that, uh, they were
saying.

803
00:34:40.369 –> 00:34:41.090
Speaker:
I’m.

804
00:34:41.090 –> 00:34:42.289
Speaker:
I did something.

805
00:34:42.289 –> 00:34:44.010
Speaker:
No, no. You’re wrong.

806
00:34:44.010 –> 00:34:45.329
Speaker:
I didn’t do nothing to Zach.

807
00:34:45.329 –> 00:34:48.210
Speaker:
I would I could never do nothing
to Zach.

808
00:34:48.210 –> 00:34:49.650
Speaker:
I love that boy to death.

809
00:34:49.650 –> 00:34:53.349
Speaker:
He’s like a big brother to me
that I. My older brother and me

810
00:34:53.349 –> 00:34:54.570
Speaker:
really don’t get along.

811
00:34:54.570 –> 00:34:56.449
Speaker:
So he was like a big brother to
me.

812
00:34:56.449 –> 00:34:56.889
Speaker:
Yeah.

813
00:34:56.889 –> 00:34:57.010
Speaker:
Now.

814
00:34:57.010 –> 00:34:59.090
Speaker:
And it makes sense that you want
to protect him and not, you

815
00:34:59.090 –> 00:35:00.849
Speaker:
know, if he wants to go off and
be off the grid.

816
00:35:00.849 –> 00:35:02.030
Speaker:
I mean, that’s not illegal to

817
00:35:02.030 –> 00:35:03.650
Speaker:
want to just disappear and be

818
00:35:03.650 –> 00:35:04.690
Speaker:
left alone.

819
00:35:04.690 –> 00:35:06.010
Speaker:
I mean, why would you set your

820
00:35:06.010 –> 00:35:07.530
Speaker:
son up knowing he’s paranoid of

821
00:35:07.530 –> 00:35:07.929
Speaker:
cops?

822
00:35:07.929 –> 00:35:10.250
Speaker:
I understand that you were
wanting to find him.

823
00:35:10.250 –> 00:35:13.969
Speaker:
Yeah, but using the cops,
knowing that he has paranoia of

824
00:35:13.969 –> 00:35:18.570
Speaker:
cops are just going to entice
him to run harder.

825
00:35:18.570 –> 00:35:19.010
Speaker:
Right.

826
00:35:19.010 –> 00:35:20.010
Speaker:
And I think one of their

827
00:35:20.010 –> 00:35:21.150
Speaker:
concerns, too, is that he’s on

828
00:35:21.150 –> 00:35:22.670
Speaker:
that medication for, you know,

829
00:35:22.670 –> 00:35:23.369
Speaker:
his issues.

830
00:35:23.369 –> 00:35:26.789
Speaker:
And if he’s not on that kind of
like, does he break his pill

831
00:35:26.789 –> 00:35:27.849
Speaker:
bottles with him?

832
00:35:27.849 –> 00:35:32.880
Speaker:
But I mean, how long does that
last day, the day before we left

833
00:35:32.880 –> 00:35:36.920
Speaker:
this driveway and I dropped him
off about a block away from the

834
00:35:36.920 –> 00:35:39.880
Speaker:
welcome sign on sixty eight.

835
00:35:39.880 –> 00:35:41.519
Speaker:
He took his medicine.

836
00:35:41.519 –> 00:35:44.519
Speaker:
I watched him take his medicine,
and then he put his pill bottles

837
00:35:44.519 –> 00:35:45.719
Speaker:
in his pocket.

838
00:35:45.719 –> 00:35:48.119
Speaker:
Uh, depending on how much

839
00:35:48.119 –> 00:35:49.460
Speaker:
medicine was in the pill

840
00:35:49.460 –> 00:35:49.760
Speaker:
bottles.

841
00:35:49.760 –> 00:35:51.039
Speaker:
Because I didn’t open them up

842
00:35:51.039 –> 00:35:52.440
Speaker:
and look because they were in

843
00:35:52.440 –> 00:35:53.360
Speaker:
his pocket.

844
00:35:53.360 –> 00:35:55.039
Speaker:
But I know he took all.

845
00:35:55.039 –> 00:36:00.000
Speaker:
I took his medicine that he was
supposed to before we left, and

846
00:36:00.000 –> 00:36:02.480
Speaker:
then he put his pill bottles
back in his pocket.

847
00:36:02.480 –> 00:36:04.639
Speaker:
Is there anything else you went
out to clear the air for?

848
00:36:04.639 –> 00:36:06.480
Speaker:
Anything you want anyone to
know?

849
00:36:06.480 –> 00:36:08.719
Speaker:
I’m not this horrible person.

850
00:36:08.719 –> 00:36:09.159
Speaker:
They’re.

851
00:36:09.159 –> 00:36:10.519
Speaker:
They’re making me out to be.

852
00:36:10.519 –> 00:36:12.679
Speaker:
Uh. I’ll tell you that right
now.

853
00:36:12.679 –> 00:36:16.280
Speaker:
I meant me and Zach are tighter
than two peas in a pod.

854
00:36:16.280 –> 00:36:16.800
Speaker:
Yes.

855
00:36:16.800 –> 00:36:20.199
Speaker:
If I knew where he was at and he
asked me not to say something.

856
00:36:20.199 –> 00:36:23.719
Speaker:
I’m not saying nothing because
that’s my my brother.

857
00:36:23.719 –> 00:36:25.159
Speaker:
And he would do the same for me

858
00:36:25.159 –> 00:36:26.840
Speaker:
if I. If I didn’t want no one

859
00:36:26.840 –> 00:36:27.480
Speaker:
knowing.

860
00:36:27.480 –> 00:36:31.079
Speaker:
So unfortunately, he hasn’t
contacted me.

861
00:36:31.079 –> 00:36:33.360
Speaker:
He hasn’t came by.

862
00:36:33.360 –> 00:36:36.000
Speaker:
I’m getting reports that he’s in
town.

863
00:36:36.000 –> 00:36:40.920
Speaker:
His ex-wife is sending him gift
cards through Cash App.

864
00:36:40.920 –> 00:36:43.840
Speaker:
And the truck that, uh, my

865
00:36:43.840 –> 00:36:46.840
Speaker:
friend Ty’s wife seen him in is

866
00:36:46.840 –> 00:36:47.920
Speaker:
hers.

867
00:36:47.920 –> 00:36:53.360
Speaker:
And maybe they they should start
asking, why is Karen sending him

868
00:36:53.360 –> 00:36:56.920
Speaker:
gift cards knowing that that
can’t be tracked.

869
00:36:56.920 –> 00:36:57.320
Speaker:
Right.

870
00:36:57.320 –> 00:36:59.079
Speaker:
Has anybody talked to Karen?

871
00:36:59.079 –> 00:37:00.820
Speaker:
I asked Karen, but, you know,

872
00:37:00.820 –> 00:37:03.500
Speaker:
just, you know, the, the role is

873
00:37:03.500 –> 00:37:04.360
Speaker:
they.

874
00:37:04.360 –> 00:37:05.559
Speaker:
Oh, I ain’t seen him.

875
00:37:05.559 –> 00:37:07.760
Speaker:
I said, I just don’t want you
getting in trouble.

876
00:37:07.760 –> 00:37:09.880
Speaker:
So. And believe me, when, when

877
00:37:09.880 –> 00:37:12.000
Speaker:
it comes down to it, I’m telling

878
00:37:12.000 –> 00:37:12.400
Speaker:
the truth.

879
00:37:12.400 –> 00:37:14.679
Speaker:
I’m not going to lie about it.

880
00:37:14.679 –> 00:37:18.079
Speaker:
I kept every message when the.

881
00:37:18.079 –> 00:37:22.000
Speaker:
The first detective called me,
it was a female.

882
00:37:22.000 –> 00:37:23.599
Speaker:
I talked to her.

883
00:37:23.599 –> 00:37:27.269
Speaker:
I tried to help out as much as I
can, but when you.

884
00:37:27.269 –> 00:37:31.030
Speaker:
when you make me out to be this
horrible person that I’m not

885
00:37:31.030 –> 00:37:32.909
Speaker:
that that’s one thing.

886
00:37:32.909 –> 00:37:34.510
Speaker:
I’m not going to help someone

887
00:37:34.510 –> 00:37:36.590
Speaker:
that is making me out to be this

888
00:37:36.590 –> 00:37:38.349
Speaker:
horrible person.

889
00:37:38.349 –> 00:37:41.590
Speaker:
And I’m weird and strange.

890
00:37:41.590 –> 00:37:46.789
Speaker:
Anyways, like his sister Ceecee
said, I wasn’t weird and strange

891
00:37:46.789 –> 00:37:48.590
Speaker:
when Zach was around.

892
00:37:48.590 –> 00:37:50.550
Speaker:
Why am I weird and strange now

893
00:37:50.550 –> 00:37:52.750
Speaker:
that he decided to go off the

894
00:37:52.750 –> 00:37:53.429
Speaker:
grid?

895
00:37:54.550 –> 00:37:56.989
Speaker:
It’s not unusual for Zach to go
off the grid.

896
00:37:56.989 –> 00:37:58.150
Speaker:
Yeah, they mentioned that.

897
00:37:58.150 –> 00:37:59.150
Speaker:
Yeah.

898
00:37:59.150 –> 00:38:02.510
Speaker:
I didn’t even know he left my
house, and at the time, I had

899
00:38:02.510 –> 00:38:07.429
Speaker:
cameras and I could see who’s
around my house and it wouldn’t

900
00:38:07.429 –> 00:38:11.829
Speaker:
record, but I. I would have seen
him and he was able to get out

901
00:38:11.829 –> 00:38:16.670
Speaker:
of his the garage and out into
the woods without me ever

902
00:38:16.670 –> 00:38:21.429
Speaker:
noticing and see, I texted him
the next day, May thirty first.

903
00:38:21.429 –> 00:38:26.070
Speaker:
I said, Bud, if you get this,
call me please.

904
00:38:26.070 –> 00:38:27.920
Speaker:
The next day I texted him and

905
00:38:27.920 –> 00:38:29.840
Speaker:
asked and just to see if he

906
00:38:29.840 –> 00:38:31.579
Speaker:
would respond.

907
00:38:31.579 –> 00:38:32.699
Speaker:
No one respond.

908
00:38:32.699 –> 00:38:33.900
Speaker:
We kept trying.

909
00:38:33.900 –> 00:38:35.980
Speaker:
My wife called.

910
00:38:35.980 –> 00:38:38.980
Speaker:
This lady found his phone.

911
00:38:38.980 –> 00:38:39.900
Speaker:
She called.

912
00:38:39.900 –> 00:38:42.179
Speaker:
She was talking to me, talking
to me.

913
00:38:42.179 –> 00:38:44.699
Speaker:
She said, who is this?

914
00:38:44.699 –> 00:38:45.940
Speaker:
I said this.

915
00:38:45.940 –> 00:38:47.699
Speaker:
That’s my brother’s phone.

916
00:38:47.699 –> 00:38:48.619
Speaker:
Where did you find it?

917
00:38:48.619 –> 00:38:51.340
Speaker:
You need to get a hold of the
Warren County Sheriff’s

918
00:38:51.340 –> 00:38:53.739
Speaker:
Department and let them know.

919
00:38:53.739 –> 00:38:57.860
Speaker:
They even found packs of
cigarettes with him, uh, with

920
00:38:57.860 –> 00:39:03.219
Speaker:
with the phone around the area
of the phone, I was told.

921
00:39:03.219 –> 00:39:04.539
Speaker:
So he.

922
00:39:04.539 –> 00:39:07.619
Speaker:
I bought him four packs of
cigarettes.

923
00:39:07.619 –> 00:39:08.900
Speaker:
Apparently not.

924
00:39:08.900 –> 00:39:13.079
Speaker:
Or they just fell out of his
pocket when he tried to, uh,

925
00:39:13.079 –> 00:39:18.079
Speaker:
when he lost his phone because
he was wearing a baggy, uh,

926
00:39:18.079 –> 00:39:21.420
Speaker:
baggy, uh, black jacket.

927
00:39:21.420 –> 00:39:24.380
Speaker:
So it’s possible this stuff just
fell out of his pocket.

928
00:39:24.380 –> 00:39:27.010
Speaker:
Yeah, they probably just slipped
out of his pocket.

929
00:39:27.010 –> 00:39:32.449
Speaker:
The phone, the way his sister is
talking, that it was placed.

930
00:39:32.449 –> 00:39:33.130
Speaker:
Mhm.

931
00:39:34.409 –> 00:39:35.210
Speaker:
Yeah.

932
00:39:35.210 –> 00:39:36.409
Speaker:
That’s the possibility.

933
00:39:36.409 –> 00:39:39.929
Speaker:
Because if he turned my location
off on my phone when I allowed

934
00:39:39.929 –> 00:39:43.949
Speaker:
him to use it, that just tells
you he didn’t want to be found

935
00:39:43.949 –> 00:39:46.849
Speaker:
when Jared West came here.

936
00:39:46.849 –> 00:39:50.090
Speaker:
I told him, I said, if you want
to go through my phone records,

937
00:39:50.090 –> 00:39:51.210
Speaker:
I will go with you.

938
00:39:51.210 –> 00:39:55.050
Speaker:
He he said, yeah, we’ll come by
tomorrow.

939
00:39:55.050 –> 00:39:56.329
Speaker:
I said, I’ll go up there and

940
00:39:56.329 –> 00:39:58.570
Speaker:
I’ll, I’ll even have AT&T show

941
00:39:58.570 –> 00:40:00.489
Speaker:
you everything.

942
00:40:00.489 –> 00:40:02.449
Speaker:
I am not going to hide nothing.

943
00:40:02.449 –> 00:40:05.409
Speaker:
You can look through my phone
calls.

944
00:40:05.409 –> 00:40:09.010
Speaker:
I’ll show you all my texts
between him and me.

945
00:40:09.010 –> 00:40:13.130
Speaker:
I mean, if there’s a day that
you want to do a a live from

946
00:40:13.130 –> 00:40:17.889
Speaker:
TikTok explaining this, I’ll go
on live with you.

947
00:40:17.889 –> 00:40:22.250
Speaker:
This way the whole world can see
the text message that in the

948
00:40:22.250 –> 00:40:25.730
Speaker:
conversations that we had.

949
00:40:25.730 –> 00:40:27.929
Speaker:
Man has never had a
disagreement.

950
00:40:27.929 –> 00:40:30.489
Speaker:
We’ve never argued our fault.

951
00:40:30.489 –> 00:40:33.130
Speaker:
If you had something to say to
Zach, if he could somehow

952
00:40:33.130 –> 00:40:35.449
Speaker:
listen, you know, what would you
say to Zach?

953
00:40:35.449 –> 00:40:39.369
Speaker:
Zach, if you’re listening, dude,
you need to get your ass home

954
00:40:39.369 –> 00:40:42.690
Speaker:
because I am getting sick and
tired of this.

955
00:40:42.690 –> 00:40:44.010
Speaker:
You need to let someone know

956
00:40:44.010 –> 00:40:46.050
Speaker:
where you’re at that you’re

957
00:40:46.050 –> 00:40:47.250
Speaker:
okay.

958
00:40:47.250 –> 00:40:51.130
Speaker:
I don’t care whether you call
the sheriff’s department or

959
00:40:51.130 –> 00:40:52.929
Speaker:
wherever you’re at.

960
00:40:52.929 –> 00:40:54.010
Speaker:
Just call them.

961
00:40:54.010 –> 00:40:55.650
Speaker:
Let them know you’re all right.

962
00:40:55.650 –> 00:40:56.769
Speaker:
Let them see you.

963
00:40:56.769 –> 00:41:00.570
Speaker:
They don’t want to grab you or
lock you up.

964
00:41:00.570 –> 00:41:04.250
Speaker:
They just want to talk to you
and make sure you’re all right.

965
00:41:04.250 –> 00:41:05.849
Speaker:
If you are out there listening.

966
00:41:05.849 –> 00:41:07.250
Speaker:
I love you, bud.

967
00:41:07.250 –> 00:41:09.369
Speaker:
It’s time to come out of hiding.

968
00:41:09.369 –> 00:41:10.809
Speaker:
If you’re a friend of mine and

969
00:41:10.809 –> 00:41:12.929
Speaker:
you’re listening and you said

970
00:41:12.929 –> 00:41:14.489
Speaker:
you love me as much as you said

971
00:41:14.489 –> 00:41:17.110
Speaker:
you did, you need to come out

972
00:41:17.110 –> 00:41:18.969
Speaker:
and let everybody know you’re

973
00:41:18.969 –> 00:41:19.969
Speaker:
all right.

974
00:41:19.969 –> 00:41:21.769
Speaker:
I don’t care how you do it.

975
00:41:21.769 –> 00:41:26.360
Speaker:
Whether you leave a voicemail on
my phone you know my number.

976
00:41:26.360 –> 00:41:29.059
Speaker:
You call your mom, you call the

977
00:41:29.059 –> 00:41:30.000
Speaker:
Warrick County Sheriff’s

978
00:41:30.000 –> 00:41:30.599
Speaker:
Department.

979

980
00:41:33.039 –> 00:41:34.980
Speaker:
I don’t care where you’re at

981
00:41:34.980 –> 00:41:36.440
Speaker:
that it won’t tell them where

982
00:41:36.440 –> 00:41:36.960
Speaker:
you’re at.

983
00:41:36.960 –> 00:41:40.239

Just they’ll let the detectives
know you’re okay.

Speaker:
I want to thank Chris for coming

Speaker:
on and sharing his side of the

986
00:41:45.559 –> 00:41:45.880
Speaker:
story.

987
00:41:45.880 –> 00:41:49.119
Speaker:
You know, he’s taking a bit of a
risk in doing so.

988
00:41:49.119 –> 00:41:51.000
Speaker:
So I appreciate that.

989
00:41:51.000 –> 00:41:54.840
Speaker:
Hopefully it helps bring Zach
home, and hopefully Chris and

990
00:41:54.840 –> 00:41:58.800
Speaker:
Zach’s family can come to some
sort of agreement where they’re

Speaker:
all on the same page.

992

Speaker:
Again, if you have any
